Our engineers design and manufacture flame heads for a multitude of applications. Yours may require a new custom design, or a slight variation on an existing design, or benefit from our inventory of standard flame heads.

Standard Flame Heads

These photos illustrate the standard flame heads stocked by Flame Treating Systems, Inc.  The photos above are the water quench design. We use these types of heads for flame hardening shafts, rolls, and sheaves. The head shown at right is a water cooled design, used for flame hardening wheels, gears, sprockets and inside diameters.

Some specific parts for which we have designed and built custom water-cooled flame heads and water quench flame heads include rope pulleys, rope drums, machine ways, multi-sided, tooth-at-a-time gears, and ring burners.
